Ingredients:
- 2 cups YesYouCan Plain Flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3/4 cup dairy-free milk (such as almond milk or coconut milk)
- 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil or vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying (such as vegetable or canola oil)
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the YesYouCan Plain Flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
2. Add the dairy free milk, melted coconut oil or vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until well combined and a thick batter forms.
3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 175°C.
4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, making small donut shapes. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to transfer the cooked donuts to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
5. Allow the donuts to cool slightly. Optional: Dust the cooled donuts with powdered sugar for added sweetness.
6. Serve and enjoy!
